U of U Young Democratic Socialists
2021
As an active member of the Young Democratic Socialists on the University of Utah Campus, I helped in spreading awareness around issues such as the homelessness crises surrounding the Salt Lake Valley. Through spreading awareness and fighting for the rights of individuals who are often overlooked in our political system, I gained a new and valuable perspective on political activism.
Bennion Center Community Partnership
2021-2022
As a Freshman, I decided to partner with the Bennion Center for a community partnership to give service to a place within my community. I decided to partner with Primary Children's Hospital. Although strict covid precautions are still in place at the hospital I was able to serve in unique ways. Somedays my service would be sanitizing children's toys other days I would help deliver slime to patients' rooms each day differnet, but an overall amazing oppertunity .
Stage Manager at David P. Gardner Concert Hall
2021-2022
As a Stage Manager at David P. Gardner Concert Hall, I was able to work with many talented musicians to provide amazing live performances. These musicians included University Students, Salt Lake Choral Artists, and Nova Musical Artists. Not only did I work as a stage manager, but I also worked as a live streaming engineer and lighting Specialist for the concert hall. I absolutely enjoyed working with many notable artists to create visually engaging and acoustically pleasing concerts.
Kahlert Scholars
2021- Present
Through elective courses, experiential learning, and a Certificate in Digital Literacy, I have delved into cutting-edge topics like app design, big data, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. As a Kahlert Scholar, I have received scholarships, participated in workshops, tech competitions, and business visits, gaining invaluable industry insights. These experiences have equipped me with hybrid skills that are in high demand and have opened doors to exciting career opportunities with top companies.
